plaintext.
Words for people, by people — and nothing else.
Plaintext is a place for humans to share words with one another. It’s designed to bring back the simplicity of the early web and to remove everything that makes modern social media miserable: the infinite scroll, hostile algorithms, surveillance tech, advertising. We allow and encourage pseudonymity. It’s kept by a host, by hand, so that it can stay a refuge from big tech.
How to get in
It’s invite-only, and small on purpose. If you know someone here, ask them for a code — that’s the front door, no questions asked. If you don’t know anyone yet but this sounds like your kind of quiet, you can ask the host directly.
